Dr. Hinz earned a medical degree and completed residency training from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology, and his medical areas of interest include rheumatoid arthritis, soft-tissue injuries and ultrasound.

In his personal time, he enjoys college football, sports, board and card games.
