Man, Get to Your Doctor!

June is Men’s Health Month, and it’s not just a hunch -- it's a fact that men avoid the doctor*. The reasons vary, but a survey from the Cleveland Clinic confirmed that more than 70 percent of men would rather clean the bathroom than go to the doctor. (To be fair, older men are better about getting to the doctor than those who are younger.) Given the power of early detection and management for everything from heart disease to prostate cancer, we urge men to get into the doctor each year. And once there? Be honest. The same survey reported that one in five men admit to not being completely honest with their physician – particularly regarding male-specific experiences.

If you haven’t seen your doctor in the last year, it’s time to book your appointment. You can request an appointment online, here.
