Christopher F. Stanke, MD
Dr. Stanke earned a medical degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus and completed residency training at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, and is board certified in internal medicine. He completed fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee and is board certified in gastroenterology.
Dr. Stanke’s areas of interest include acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, GI bleeding, iron deficiency anemia, Barrett esophagus, colorectal cancer screening/surveillance, complex polypectomy, inflammatory bowel diseases, celiac disease, and general gastroenterology.
When he’s not seeing patients at Gateway Medical Center, you can find Dr. Stanke playing basketball, tennis, cycling, running, hiking, and board games. He enjoys backyard grilling and cooking, along with watching college basketball and college football. He loves to travel with his wife Kimberly to tropical destinations, as well as visit zoos and aquariums across the country.
