Diane earned a bachelor's degree from Florida State University. She earned a master's degree in nursing from George Mason University and earned a Family Nurse Practitioner post-graduate certificate from Duke University. Diane served in the United States Air Force and worked for the United States Army. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner and her medical areas of interest include preventative care and educating patients on health care choices/treatments.

In her personal time, Diane enjoys biking, running, hiking, gardening and traveling.
